Cardrona Update March 2025. Soho ski lift progress

Here’s your Cardrona update for March 2025 straight from social media. A quick update on how things are progressing in the Soho Ski Area – it’s really starting to look like a ski lift now!

Last week, the Doppelmayr team pulled the haul rope across all the towers and added tension at the bottom station. We also brought in Hannes, a specialist splicer from Switzerland. He’s currently working with a crew of about 20 people to splice the rope ends together, creating one continuous, safe, and uniform line.

Next steps? The chairs will start going on shortly, and most of the remaining work will be electrical. After that, we’ll head into the final few weeks of commissioning before the lift is ready for action.
