Cardrona: Officially the Biggest and the Best!
Congratulations to Cardrona Alpine Resort – voted New Zealand’s Best Ski Resort for 2025 at the World Ski Awards. And with everything they’ve achieved this year, it’s not hard to see why.
Over winter, Cardrona opened 150 hectares of new terrain in Soho Basin, officially making them largest ski resort in New Zealand. They also unveiled a brand-new base area featuring the Noodle Bar, retail store, and a T-bar for faster park laps.
On top of that, they planted more than 1,000 native trees, giving a nod to the environment that makes this mountain so special
“Thanks to everyone who voted and to the community who makes this place what it is. This one’s yours,” the Cardrona team said. “It’s the mahi our crew puts in every day, the stoke you brought to the mountain this season, and the community who makes this place what it is.”
And they’re not done yet – this summer work continues on the next stage of Soho developments, promising to make Winter 2026 even better.
