8 June – New York, USA The Spain SailGP Team has taken top honours in the New York Sail Grand Prix, finishing ahead of New Zealand and France in Sunday’s final. The result moves Spain into first place on the overall Season 2025 leaderboard, overtaking Australia’s BONDS Flying Roos.
New Zealand’s consistent performance across the weekend was enough to push them into third place in the standings. The win marks Spain’s second U.S. event victory this season, following their earlier success in San Francisco.
Racing on the Hudson River delivered a competitive and unpredictable weekend, with five different teams winning across six fleet races. Among the highlights was a first-ever race win for the Mubadala Brazil SailGP Team in fleet race four – a milestone moment in their campaign, congratulations!
