July 20 2025, Portsmouth, England The New Zealand’s Black Foils beat Emirates Great Britain, taking top honours in their first-ever SailGP appearance in the UK port city, and jumping to the top of the 2025 season standings.
The final, held in choppy Solent conditions, saw a fierce three-boat battle between New Zealand, Switzerland (congratulations for making their first final), and Great Britain. Despite pressure from both sides, Peter Burling and his team held their nerve to cross the line first.
