Cardrona Alpine Resort is bringing snow back to summer with its annual Summer Rail Jam on Saturday 17 January 2026, from 11am.
Using snow saved from winter, Cardrona will set up a rail jam on the mountain, alongside snow play, music, commentary, and prize giveaways. Whether you’re keen to slide, watch the action, or simply enjoy the atmosphere with a coffee in hand, the event is open to everyone.
Entry is by koha, with all contributions supporting Ride Tamariki – a programme that helps remove financial barriers so more children can experience snow sports. Funds raised go toward lift passes, equipment rentals, lessons, and transport for first-time riders.
