Skyline Queenstown has reopened following major redevelopments of its gondola and Bob’s Peak complex, part of a long-term upgrade for it’s Queenstown operation

The redevelopment focuses on increasing capacity and modernising infrastructure at one of the region’s busiest tourism sites. A key change is the introduction of new 10-seat gondola cabins, replacing the previous four-seat system and improving the movement of visitors between central Queenstown and the summit.

At the base, a new gondola terminal and ticketing area have been introduced, along with upgraded access and parking facilities.

At the summit, expansion works are underway to increase viewing capacity and upgrade hospitality areas. Improvements also include better access to the Skyline Luge and the development of new viewing decks overlooking Queenstown, Lake Wakatipu and the surrounding ranges.

The project is being delivered in stages, with Skyline continuing to operate throughout the redevelopment period.
