Whakapapa opens Friday 30 May – just ahead of King’s Birthday weekend, with that familiar feeling: the ski area awakening, and the magic starting to build. They kick things off with an Opening Weekend celebration from 30 May to 1 June, featuring Sky Waka gondola sightseeing, sledding in Happy Valley, and two snow play zones made for first-touch snow moments.
