ROCKWOOL has renewed its long-term commitment to SailGP

Signing on as title partner of the Danish-flagged ROCKWOOL Racing SailGP Team through to the end of 2032. The agreement cements the stone-wool leader as the longest-standing team partner in the global foiling league, continuing a relationship that began in 2019.

Since joining ahead of Season 2, ROCKWOOL has backed a programme built around developing top-tier Danish foiling talent while showcasing innovation, sustainability and high-performance racing on a global stage.

ROCKWOOL - SailGP Team

SailGP Managing Director Andrew Thompson said the extended deal reflects the strength of the partnership and its impact across the league

“ROCKWOOL’s belief in our vision has helped shape SailGP’s evolution into a truly global, high performance championship. Their renewed commitment through 2032 speaks to the strength of what we’ve created together – a world class team, an ambitious activation program and a partnership that drives meaningful value on and off the water.

We’re proud to continue building this next chapter with ROCKWOOL.”

A Team on the Rise

The ROCKWOOL Racing SailGP Team narrowly missed the Season 5 podium by just a single point and made history in August 2025 by becoming the fastest team in sail racing history – clocking 103.93 km/h during the Germany Sail Grand Prix in Sassnitz.

A global activation powerhouse

Off the water, the team has built what is widely seen as one of SailGP’s strongest engagement platforms. The team won the Impact League in Season 3, and since 2021 the company has delivered five SailGP title events across Denmark, Italy, Canada and France.

Mirella Vitale, Senior Vice President of Marketing, Communications and Public Affairs at ROCKWOOL, said the partnership has grown well beyond a branding exercise:

“Over the past four seasons, this partnership has grown into something genuinely powerful. Together with SailGP, we’ve created a global platform that delivers real commercial impact in our key markets – driving awareness of our business, enabling thousands of ROCKWOOL guests to experience racing first-hand, and engaging employees across 38 countries.”

She added that the extension was a natural continuation: “Extending this partnership was the natural next step, and we’re excited about what we can achieve together in the years ahead.”

Looking Ahead to 2026 and Beyond

The partnership will see ROCKWOOL stage its sixth title event next year: the ROCKWOOL Germany Sail Grand Prix, set for 22–23 August 2026 in Sassnitz.
